"Dickerson, an accomplished African-American lawyer and author of 'The End of Blackness,' said that although his father is of Kenyan decent, Barack Obama isn't black. She supported her stance by saying that because Obama is not the descendant of west African slaves who were brought here against their will, he somehow is not 'black' and needs to be called, in her words, 'something else.'"

Well dog my cats! You could have knocked me over with a pyramid or a cotton gin. For decades I have been under a delusion. All this time I thought certain Black people were Black but I was wrong. I stand corrected. That means that Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu are not Black. That means all the South African we marched and protested for were not Black. Even those poor people who are being slaughtered in Darfur, Sudan are not even Black. The Jangaweed are making a big mistake.
I need to call my friend from Nigeria and my friend from Darfur, Sudan and break it to them gently that they are not Black. They been fooled all these years. They are going to be traumatized. I will tell them they will be called "something else" as soon as the Keepers of the Blackness come up with a name.

Booker T. Washington said:
"There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs....There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public."
