Who or What is the Black Taliban?

What is the "Black Taliban"?

It is the self-appointed race police.

They are the "Keepers of the Blackness."

They are the "Black Enough" committee who certifies who are and who are not "authentically Black."

They are the ones who call others who do not fall in line with their rhetoric Uncle Tom's, snow-blacks, black skunks, black anglo saxons, zebras, Sambos, jigaboos, uncolas, wooly heads, Rev. Pork Chops, chicken eaters, bootlickers, black stooges, handkerchief-head Negros, white breads, rent-a-Toms, sellouts, Stepin Fetchits, low-belly creepers, turncoats, caste flunkies, lawn jockeys, hafricans, crumb snatchers, co-caucasians, butt kissers, waterboys, high yallers, shoeshine boys, tree tops, pleasers and appeasers, and slap happy Amos and Andys.

They are people like the self-appointed "Council on Black Internal Affairs" which published a book called The American Directory of Certified Uncle Toms. Some of the people they list, beside the usual suspects, are:

Julian Bond
Vernon Jordan
John Lewis
Maya Angelou
Henry Louis Gates
Star Jones
Harry Belafonte
Bill Cosby
Morgan Freeman
James Earl Jones
Diana Ross
Oprah Winfrey
Phillis Wheatley
Booker T. Washington
W.E.B. Du Bois
Ralph Bunche
Bayard Rustin
Sammy Davis, Jr.
Jackie Robinson
even "Ice Cube"

The Black Taliban seeks to silence and to ridicule the voices of those who do not repeat the "party line," Soviet style. There is no freedom of thought. They want to silence those who have websites like http://www.issues-views.com/ which says it has been "reporting on the fronline of dissent since 1985."

What did "Uncle Tom" Booker T. Washington say:

"There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs....There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public."

There is nothing new under the sun.
